Are you really telling me that you're wasting time texting me while running from my wrath? At least spare my ego and tell me you've found a hiding place.

I have!

[ His hiding place is not very hidden. He's just sprawled out on the couch in Jamil's bedroom. But by Kalim's figuring, that's the last place Jamil would expect him to be, so maybe it's effective anyway. ]

[viziernary]

[A few minutes later.]

Why do you have an octopus in your room?

[Yeah. Yeah, they switched rooms in this shitshow.]

He reminded me of you!

I see you want to go for a very long swim.

Will you come swim with me?

You'd just climb out if I wasn't there with you.

Did my parents really send you tea??? [Why is he going through Kalim's room he needs to track Kalim down back to the hunt.]

Oh! So it's a swimming date you want! You could have said so!

Mmhmm it was a very nice jasmine tea! Very thoughtful of them. I sent them a thank you card for it! But I keep forgetting to bring it to the kitchen because the tin has such a nice design, I just wanna keep it on my vanity!

[ Kalim, that's not... forgetting. That's not what that means. ]

We're not going on a swimming date, Kalim, I'm threatening to drown you. There's a difference. Don't put words in people's mouths. People will get the wrong idea.

Order some jam if you haven't already. It'll be easier for me to drown you if we take care of the breakfast party plans before I find you.

[desertrain]

I ordered 12 different kinds! You can't have croissants without jam!

I'll slice up some fruit for a simple breakfast. You can pick out the playlist later at your leisure as that won't require ordering anything.

Now we have that taken care of, I can concentrate on drowning you. Prepare yourself, Kalim.

[desertrain]

You make it sound so dastardly!

[ And yet, Kalim hasn't budged from Jamil's couch. Sprawled with his knees hooked over the back and his head hanging off the seat, in direct defiance of how anyone should ever sit on a couch. ]

[viziernary]

I'm drowning you, Kalim. Of course it's dastardly.

[He needs towels for the drowning, and maybe a small bag to carry a few things (like Kalim's drowned corpse), and so he stops by his room to pi-]

What are you doing in here?

[There's implications behind him immediately running to Kalim's room, and Kalim hiding in his room, but Jamil's not going to think about those.]

Ah! You found me!

[ And Kalim just beams like the sun. ]

[viziernary]

You've...been in here. [Surely not.] The entire time? [Surely not!]

[desertrain]

Uh huh! I figured it'd be the last place you ever thought to look! Was I right?

[viziernary]

[He doesn't answer right away, instead striding to his dresser, and grabbing a bag, and stuffing couple of towels into it and then a small first aid pouch because...well. Even if Kalim would be long term okay, probably, he's the sort of person who'd break his leg in the middle of the Scarabian desert but somehow make friends with a band of animals and have them carry him to safety...in the short run, accidents could happen.

And then Jamil walks back to Kalim and...stares for a moment.]

You were right. [He hates Kalim so much, and that is why-]

[He gives him the bag to hold and then picks him up.]
